Gamma, the AI that turns a rough outline into a finished slide deck

In one line: Gamma is an AI presentation maker in your browser: paste an outline, notes or a PDF, and it builds a designed deck (or a doc, one-page website or social post) you can edit, share as a link, or export to PowerPoint, Google Slides or PDF, with 400 free credits to start.

What it is

Gamma skips the blank-slide stage. You pick what you're making (a presentation, a document, a simple website or social posts), type a prompt or paste in your own notes, and it drafts an outline first so you can reorder or cut points before anything gets designed. Then it lays out every slide with a theme, layouts and images. From there it works like a normal editor: change text, swap a layout, or ask the built-in AI agent for edits like "make this shorter" or "turn this into a timeline." You can also import an existing PDF or PowerPoint and have Gamma restyle it. When you're done, you share a link (with viewer analytics on paid plans) or export to PDF, PPTX, PNG or Google Slides, so the people you send it to don't need Gamma at all.

Who it's for

Anyone who has to make slides but doesn't enjoy it: founders building a pitch, consultants and sales folks turning notes into client decks, teachers, students, and managers who need a quick update for Monday's meeting. If you already have a strict corporate template and a design team, you'll spend more time fighting the layouts than you save. If your problem is getting from a page of notes to something presentable in ten minutes, this is the tool.

Try this today

Sign up free at gamma.app. Click Create new, choose Paste in text, and drop in the notes or bullet points from something you actually have to present this month. Before you hit generate, edit the outline: cut it to the 6 to 8 points that matter, since the free plan creates up to 10 slides per prompt. Pick a theme, generate, then export to PPTX or Google Slides so you can finish it in the tool your team already uses.

The catch

The free plan is a one-time starter pack, not a monthly allowance. You get 400 credits at signup and they never refill; after that you either refer friends (200 credits each) or pay. Gamma says a 10-slide deck with five basic images costs roughly 20 to 60 credits, so 400 covers a handful of decks, and fancier image models burn through credits much faster (premium images run 34 to 75 credits each). Free decks carry the "Made with Gamma" badge, and you're capped at 10 slides per prompt (you can add more by hand). Gamma doesn't show how many credits each deck used yet, only your remaining balance. And the AI first draft is a starting point: expect to rewrite generic bullet text before it sounds like you.
